The Grand Conjunction

A good friend invited me to add some lighting to an LED monolith he was going to build as an art project. We traveled to the desert and arrived at a location near Death Valley, CA. The rock formations in the pictures used to be under water as this part of the desert is a dry lake bed.

After the sun set the stars really came out. We used my LEDs to illuminate the rock formations and took some long exposure pictures.

The Monolith Stage my friend built looked really cool. We used the stage to record some live DJ sets.
